Mary Poppins. Sort of.
These shots may not do anything for you but I love them, adore them. They make me smile.
For many reasons...
1. Who doesn't love Mary Poppins?
2. Vintage red umbrella!
3. This idea was in my head and I was able to bring it to fruition.
4. I used my new battery pack and lights outside and attained a usable picture with it.
5. I did NOT photoshop these shots to make them look this way.
6. and it REALLY looks as if they're being pulled away!
To me it does anyway.
Oh. My. And a suitcase too.
I love that her eyes are closed in this one. Beautiful!
So. Was it worth the anticipation? The build-up? Was it a total disappointment for you?
If so. Get over it. Life is full of disappointments, this being but a small one.

OK I'll just have to get over it! Not disappointed these are cool, but not a Poppins fan. Very impressed that no Photoshop was harmed in the making of these pics:) And your new equipment must be great because these are wonderfully lit! Still my favs are the ones previously posted. However, that said anything that brings a smile to your face is good. These days smiles can be hard to find! But thanks to you and this stupidly addicting blog the rest of us can destress because of the things that make you smile. So thanks:)
She is right about the addicting part. :) Haha
Are you seriously this good or is this just a freak (or freaking me out) accident, did YOU KNOW that Mary Poppins premiered this day in 1964????? No you aren't that good, are you? Whichever the radio just told me this little tidbit and I thought I would share and freak you out to or let you brag whichever:)
PS: Bookworm totally addicting!
Lol when you see these you def. think..Mary Poppins! I like them though, and plus we had a blast trying to get the shot just right! What can I say...Brandi, your awesome (or is it your models???) Jk its all you!
Modesty is such a nice quality and becomes you so well! She is a genius it is true but good models really do help:)
I agree with Ash and WSMIL, the models are awsome, jk. These turned out really cool. I think these were the shots I was most curious to see. I mean for a while we couldn't even figure out how to get the shot. We tried standing on a suitcase, which didn't work, then we had the bright idea of just jumping, lol. But it worked good. Can't wait to see more!
Gary thinks the one with the suitcases really seal the deal! But how weird is it that she posted this on the same day as the movie originally premiered?
I love how it looks like the umbrella is pulling them up off the ground. I swear to you that after I saw that movie I kept trying to get all umbrellas to lift me up off the ground. At least in the majic of photographs the girls got to live my childhood dream. I think the best one is Ash and the suitcase. Very cool.
That is weird that she would post it on the same day! O and Lunsford I did the same thing, I once tried to jump off the trampoline(or however you spell it, lol) with an umbrella, it didn't work, lol.
To funny! You have no idea how many broken umbrellas we had at our house for my trying to jump of our front porch with them so I could float down. :)
Kids.

I know, that was always my deam too lunsford! :( It never worked for me. I always tried to do it off of my parents bed. Never worked. Too bad. I guess Julie Andrews had the right touch. Haha.
That was such an awesome idea. I absolutely adore it. Ash and GWLS really did good modelling too. Haha. I have always wanted to model. But i think that should go only for the pretty ppl. Haha.
