Passion...

passion flower, that is.

I took these back in July but only just looked at them last night.

I thought that 10 degree weather might be the appropriate time to share a little remembrancer of warmer days.

Aren't these the weirdest looking little flowers?  I love them.

They're just kind of wild and crazy with their wispy hair-like parts and their criss cross top.  They don't try to be all dignified and stoic like the roses...they're just happy and fun...and passionate.  I think they're proud not to be like the roses...look how tall and straight this one's sitting.  He's different and he's okay with it.  In fact, he embraces his craziness.

I know one thing...I would take a bouquet of passion flowers over a bouquet of roses any day of the week.

Which reminds me:  My husband sent me flowers a few days ago because he knows I've been a little stressed lately.  But he actually sent me "flowers"...the word "flowers".  He sent a text that said, "flowers".  Awwww.  Wasn't that sweet?  I thought so.  He sent me flowers and it only cost him $.20.  Not a bad way to make your wife happy.

Just don't abuse it.  Real flowers would be nice every once and again.

I don't know what kind of flower this is but I took it the same day.

I was more intrigued by this little guy than the flower.  I've never seen anything like him.

I'm not sure what kind of disguise he thinks he's got going on there though.  He's orange.  And white.  Sitting on a purple flower.  He may as well be waving a giant flag that says, "Come eat me."

Maybe he tastes bad and therefore has no worries.  I don't know though...even if I tasted bad I'd still want to blend in a little just in case I stumbled across a bird with short term memory loss.  Wouldn't you?

Think warm, passion flower thoughts on this bitterly cold day.  It will help, I promise.
B

*Disclaimer before you think I've ACTUALLY lost my mind: I know flowers can't think or talk but if they could I'm sure this sweet little passion flower would agree with my comments above.

Does your sweet husband know that he can send you virtual flowers for free? And a really expensive looking enormo spread of flowers, and once again I mention free. But I'm glad that you and I are so easily moved by the romantic side of our men because not many people would recognize this for the beautifully romantic loving gesture that it is!

Freddy wishes he would have thought of that one. I like the flowers, and the fact that it is obviously warm in the pictures. I will be thinking about them while I am outside in the cold working on beds.

Well I just thought if we were playing the game we might as well raise the bar into interesting words because we know how B likes to give us English lessons:)

And while I look at these pretty, warm flowers I will think of you outside working in the cold on beds (and of your interesting outfit) and say to myself "she is a better woman than I".

Not a better woman, just a colder woman. And I have to say Freddy does manage to find ways to show he loves me too, after lunch when I went back out to work he had put a heat lamp right over where I had to stand to work.

What is this rhyming thing? Why am i left out???? Why is the world so dark and cold?! Haha. (Achoo) Ugh!

consider..anonymous is sort of like wine(whine)
complex...multifacted....sorry about the sneezies, no one is ever left behind with rhyming and playing the mind forward!

WSMIL said...

It's the little things they do like texting flower, putting heat lamps over us, making my breakfast when I'm running behind, these aren't really little things rather they are the big things that are the pattern of love that warms our hearts and brings us closer to each other. Ain't love grand!

I believe the last word was Chilly so if we are keeping with the rhyme I say WILLY off to someone else:) Ms. Button this could be you:) there isn't any reasoning behind it B told us to put down words so we are, they either rhyme or make us think of something else (for example see previous blog posting)

I can not see the word Willy without thinking Wonka, and now I have the Umpa Loompa song stuck in my head for at least days if not weeks.

WSMIL said...

I needed that thank you! I'm not sure whether to go off of Wonka or the Umpa Loompa probably the Wonka because nothing springs immediately to mind with the Umpa's:) (happy to help you get through the cold by providing the tunes in your head to keep you going:)

seriously, does anybody know anybody who ever went to the Poconos for anything? The brochures are great pictures and feelgood movies from the 40's show big bands stranded there and missing the gig they wanted. Missouri has all I need and more than I can afford.

I believe we have now officially created a record in comments and I will assume (which you should never do) that because B is sick she doesn't feel well enough to comment on this milestone that she set off, but I expect some sort of recognition when she is back to her effervescent self.

Thank you all for your inspiring comments and for reaching a new record of 50. However, I think you missed the point of the original post. My goal was to get the CLIENTS to post a comment. Someone OTHER than my five crazy followers.

It's okay. You'll do better next time. I hope.
