A lesson in figures of speech...

Metaphor: Her hair is liquid silk being poured from a bottle.

Simile: Her hair is blowing in the wind like prairie grasses on the plain.
Metaphor: Her eyes are vice grips holding your gaze.
Simile: Her faint smile is like a glimpse of the sun before it sets.
Simile: These pictures for me are like sunshine on a rainy day.
Metaphor: These pictures are the happiness of a sunny day.

See what happens when I start homeschooling?

I think the Metaphor about her eyes should apply to the first picture. And I love the last one although I'm still disturbed by how old she looks.

As for today's english lesson, I'm sure we can all benefit from it. What is being done to our language today is appalling, harrowing and horrific:)

I am not getting the Cry Baby?.....Please explan in the last pic. Other than that, I love em! Thnks!

No significance on the cry baby. It's just an old page from a book that I use as a texture. It may have been a songbook.

I don't think you're a crybaby.

Cry Baby was also a Janis Joplin song. (and I hope I don't have to explain who that is I feel old enough today) Maybe she is calling you a heartbreaker:) I don't care what it means or doesn't mean I love the way it turned out second only to my fav of the last post. (because I know how much my opinions mean to you:):):)lol))

Sweet Pics!!! I really like the last one. The actuall pose isn't my fav, its the texture. I absoulutely love the look of the pic! NICE WORK B.!!! Also bree I wasn't meaning that I didn't like you in the pic, I meant that the first pose is my fav. :)

Haha! Thanks Brandi. It's a darn good thing that you didn't mean it cuz then that would have meant that I was a Cry Baby meets multiple personality. Haha. Ok, I like it then. ( Now that I know it's not insulting) :)

Wow we get to look at the pretty pictures and get a nice reminder of one of the most confusing little details of the english language all at the same time. Life is good.

And as a side note when I first looked at the picture with the words "cry baby" on them the Janis Joplin song was the fist thing that came to my mind. "All you ever gotta do is be a good man one time to one woman and that'll be the end of the road..." It of course sounds better with Janis screaming it.

What didn't sound better with Janis screaming it:) ok quite a few things but some things were really great because "freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose".

B FNL wants to know why you didn't include Hyperbolated (we can't remember just how she said it) in your english lesson? Oh well maybe you are saving that for the next lesson:)
