Mrs. June

Remember the calendar I told you about?

The one for Relay For Life of local cancer survivors?

It has been completed.
The Calendar Girls (the team behind the fundraiser) sold them last week at a benefit concert at the local winery, Vance Vineyards and they're selling them again this weekend at the Azalea Festival.
And this amazingly lovely (and hilarious) woman happens to be Mrs. June in the calendar.
The necklace is one that she bought almost 30 years ago with the intent of having her picture taken in it.
Better late than never, right?
Oh my.  How can you not love this lady?  Talk about spunky!
Oooh.  AND sassy!

I love it when my subjects are sassy!

Thank you, Shirley, for allowing me to photograph you.  It was most definitely a pleasure.
B

(If you're interested in purchasing a calendar (to support the fundraiser and/or to see the shot that the survivors picked that I won't be posting on here and their survivor story) you can contact Shelley Tarkington via this link.)

Up next: Miss August

So much attitude! I love it. And bravo, B. I bet they were very glad they hired you to take the pictures.

Not to be biased and brag (family and all you know) but several have commented to me what fun they had working with you and what a great job you did B. And I'm sorry I didn't get to these sooner because they are incredible. I love the sass, and wish I had more of it. I've always envied those who reach that point in there life where they are totally free. I have my moments but they go away when you point that lens at me, yes I'm still a work in progress!
