Just A Little...

I had some warm fuzzy moments today.

London did his schoolwork without losing his temper and then excitedly told me about how bees pollinate apple trees, which means he's learning something.

The girls did their schoolwork without being hounded (minus a few moments of excessive talking).
And then for their break (recess?) they chose to put together a puzzle...together.

For real.

Not TV.  Not a video game.  A puzzle.

I was impressed.
Then, as I sat here working this evening, Matt played a game with the kids on the Wii.
He was laughing, they were laughing.
Seriously...we were reaching The Walton's status here.
And then I went to take a shower.

And my water was cold.
And now I want to ship them all off to Katmandu and I don't even know where that is and I want to live in a little house all by myself with my own water heater so every shower I ever take is so hot that it burns my skin a little and I don't have to tolerate shivering convulsions while I sit down to work with a space heater two inches from my leg on full power just to recover.

Okay.  I don't really want to ship them all off.

But maybe a little.

I pity you. Best investment EVER was when our water heater went out and we got a gas water heater...instant hot water whenever we wanted...granted it took me MONTHS to pay it off but totally worth it. I never never run out of hot water...ever.

What a cutie pie! I had to take a cold shower Saturday thanks to a friend, so I totally get where you are coming from. We should remember you have an anniversary coming soon;) and then everyone can continue your Walton life:)

From Liam's mom:
So, my dad (Liam's grandpa that had the broken arm during our newborn pics) says that in Liam's snarled up picture he looks like an old wrestler named "Dick the Bruiser." Google image and you'll totally get it (I had to google it too; way before either of our times!) It gave us a good chuckle!
