I would agree that he did not necessarily have a choice...but still...he did it.
I'm, of course, talking about Selfish (the fish).
He has left us and is now adrift somewhere in the bowels of the Madison County sewer system.
This may seem a bit morbid of a subject to be coupled with pictures of such a cute little boy but I thought he deserved a little bit of recognition.
Recognition for the year and a half of servitude to Priester Photography...
for being submitted to dirty, grimy, toddler hands in his bowl...
for being confined to a bowling ball sized home with not so much as a shrub to get some privacy...
for being moved from bowl to bowl with a slotted serving spoon because we didn't have a proper net...
and for going hungry on many occasions or being overfed and expected to gorge himself because no one could remember who fed him last.
He was a good fish and I'm sure he contributed much to our lower blood pressure.
This little guy's mother and I had decided during the session that Mr. Selfish wasn't lookin' too hot...
I think the exact phrase we may have used was "under the weather".
It appears that was an understatement.
He didn't make it through the night.
*Side note*--Why is it that animals always seem to die at night? An internet search proved futile for information...maybe it's just my animals that die at night.
Now that you have all of this information on my inability to care for a single goldfish I'm sure you would agree with my previous post about our not needing a dog.

No b you are not the only one that fish die on at night. Just the other day i woke up and noticed that one of our fish was half eaten and sucked up to the filter. Or maybe it was dead for a while and i just never noticed it....oh well....yes it went deep down into the sewage system......yuck. Oh well! Chin-up! Cute pics!
Good idea on the dog:) And these are excellent pictures but can we leave off the single word on each of them? It's getting to be like the hahahahahahehehehe;)

I love the one of Wyatt called Hangin'. I personally like your one word remark on each one. It shows what you were thinking of when you edited the pic and what the focus is. Plus, it helps me identify each of them when commenting.
A note for Selfish. He was a good goldfish. I wish I could have known him better. A moment of silence... Oh well, at least his pipe dreams came true. Are you going to replace him?
Yeah, at first I didn't like the one word thing, but she is right it will make it easier for us to comment on them. My favorites ar feet and upside down. They are cute! Back to school.........

Ms. Button Yeah right! For a teenager you made a very astute observation and I see now that you are more than a teenager since you show such perspicacity. The one word IS distracting, like a book with to much descriptive writing, (I skip those paragraphs and make my own) but apparently we have to live with it;) The Queen has spoken all hail the Queen:)(it needs saying hahahehe)

Yes I know but the computer kept messing up so it posted twice I'm not really crazy "their coming to take me away haha their coming to take me away". I think if you get a new fish you should call it "Prop" or "Baby distraction device" but "Prop" is much shorter and easier to remember.
