Logos

Yes, it is an interesting word.

Particularly when you say it in your head a few times.

Which I did.
It conjures up images in my head of Legos, pogos...perhaps even Lego pogos (though I'm sure that isn't possible) and Payless shoes (BOGO).

*Edit*--After doing a quick Google search I found this site which negates the above comment that a Lego pogo isn't possible.  Who knew?
Logo is actually derived from the word 'logotype' which means symbol, name or trademark for identification.

It dates back to ancient Greece at which time they used a logo to mark something as their own (think cattle).
Over the years it evolved into a much more complex notion.
In today's world, a logo is not just a way to mark something as yours (cattle and/or pictures) but it also presents the brand image of the company.
For instance, when you see a golden arch you think McDonald's...when you see a swoosh you think of Nike.

If you want to test your logo recognition skills (which I'm sure is useful, if not vital, for something) click here.
Why are we discussing this?
Because I'm going to address something.

Something that I'm sure marketers and business owners everywhere will cringe at.

Something that, according to them, I should not address with my possible clients and/or present clients.
But I've never been good at keeping things all secretive....so here's my issue...
I NEED A LOGO!!
Are you not sick of seeing this booooooring text with my name in red and photography in white?

I am.

I really, really am.
And who better to discuss this with than you, the very people who are forced to gaze upon it?

Wouldn't you like to see something a little bit jazzier?

A little more funky?

A little bit rock'n'roll?

Wait.

Not sure about that last part...but wouldn't you like to see a logo that enhances my images rather than just sits there?

I would.

The problem is that I've tried to make my own and failed miserably...and now I've looked at so many examples and envisioned so many possibilities that I'm brain dead.

Here's what I need from you...ideas, inspiration, suggestions...for the logo itself or for someone to create it for me.

The problem is that I'm picky.  I want it to be modern, clean (read simple), and not like EVERY other photographer's logo.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions...and if this cry for help caused you to doubt whether or not you wanted to hire me for your photographic needs, then you probably wouldn't like me anyway.
