Just some things I need to get out of my overcrowded brain...

1.  I made these little headbands at the last minute for this photoshoot with my niece.

While I think they are super cute...they weren't made very well...unless you consider hot glue to be a high quality way to affix a bow to a headband.

It's already falling apart.

All is not hopeless!  I know someone who makes bows and clips that don't fall apart.

Here is her website...http://www.littlebellesboutique.com/.

She not only has super cute headbands and bows for little girls, she also has retro bows and vintage inspired bobbie pins for us...the big, little girls.  She does some awesome looking monogramming so you can get personalized fashion wipes cases, burpies, and flip flop buttons.

I could go on.  I won't.  Just check the website and know that when she gets the Feather Clips ready for ordering I WILL be buying one and you WILL be seeing pictures of it in my hair.

That's a promise.

2.  I'm still working on revamping my blog and my website.  In researching how to change things around  I found a great blog that has tutorials on modifying blogger templates.  If you're a fellow blogger (or if you want to become a fellow blogger) you should check out her site...http://www.coffeeteaphotography.blogspot.com/.

It's where I downloaded the template for my new header.  She also has some photoshop tutorials and free layouts for storyboards and such.  It's just basically a great learning place.  If you're the learning type.

3.  I love this blog called swissmiss.  It's in my favorites and I check it almost daily.  She finds interesting, modern, designy stuff on the www and posts them for me so I don't have to go looking for it.

Isn't that nice of her?  I think it is.

Here's something she posted today that made me laugh (click here).  I think it's especially fitting since I recently blogged about my apparent procrastinating abilities.

4.  Just look at this ornery little, thumb sucking, sweetie pie.

That's all I have to say.

For now.

What do you do when your photographer gives you bubbles...

and you blow...

and blow...

and nothing comes out?

You get disgusted at the bubble wand and give it a dirty look.

You sag your arms down at your sides and make a sound, something like a very grown up "ooooh" combined with a sigh.

You hold your head in dismay and disappointment while again giving the malfunctioning bubble wand dirty looks,

and then hang your head in shame and disgust.

As a final display of your utter displeasure, you turn your back on said photographer.
(This consequently reminds me of the time that a grown boy pulled this stunt...click here and scroll down.)

Act slightly disinterested as the photographer tries to get your attention by blowing bubbles for you.

Give in to your curiosity...turn around and play with the bubbles.  But no smiling!

Okay.  Maybe just a little, tiny grin.  We're talking small rewards here.  What has this photographer ever done for you?  You don't give away smiles for nothing.  What are you?  A paid model?  I don't think so.

When the photographer offers you the wand to try again...and she will...go ahead and  give it another shot.

You have to hold your finger just so.

Almost got it!

Blow a little harder...

Eureka!  A bubble!  You did it!

You may then blow lots of bubbles.

And if you must.  Only if you MUST...you can reward the photographer with a cheesy grin.

As stated in a previous post...it's all in the handbook.

I'm mixing it up.

Not that you need to know.  Or care for that matter.  But I'm trying to learn/re-learn html and basic web design so I thought that I'd start playing around on my blog instead of messing up my professional website.

You may start to see some changes, like the bigger pictures for instance.  That's a good change.  Don't you think?  I do.

You may also start to see some bad changes like funky colors, missing links and whatnot.  Don't be alarmed.  I won't lose you forever.  Just hang tight.  I'm learning.  Slowly.

I changed my header.  Can you tell I was in a baby mood?  I must be hormonal.

I'm hoping to make things a little more organized on here so you don't have to go filtering through weeks of posts to find the one you want.

I know you go back and re-read my old posts because they're so entertaining.

Don't deny it.

Warning: This Post Contains Major Gushing Over A Toddler (MGOAT)

As well it should because I'm a good Auntie.

She has got to be one of the most expressive toddlers I have ever seen.  She was excited here.
Can you tell?

This is her "I have better things to do" look.

This would be the angelic look.  I can practically see her halo (she's actually watching London climb to the tip-top of our weeping willow tree).

I'm not sure why I like this one.  I just do.

Oh.  My.  It's too much with the smile.  I can't take it.

She was either concentrating on hanging on...

or avoiding me.  I think it's the latter.  Although I do believe she's checking out her big toe in this one.

The eyes are killing me.

My sister is holding her here, getting ready to give her a big push and Phoenix is saying, "Two...Two...Go!"

How cute!

And here she is going high as per her request.

More MGOAT to come.
Stay tuned if you don't have a weak stomach and can take the sickening sweetness.

I did it! I did it!

You would think I would know how to resize an image with blogger since I've actually created whole websites. But I didn't...until now.

If you scroll to the next post you can see the difference in size between the first picture and the following pictures. You can actually see the first picture without clicking it. Hooray!

I will be doing all of my images this way from now on.

Lucky you.

What do you do when your photographer tells you she's going to give you a piece of candy,

but brings a piece of fresh pineapple instead?

You cry giant tears and cover your mouth dramatically.

You double over in despair while still maintaining the drama.

You add a little screaming. (Sorry for the blur...I was laughing so hard I couldn't focus).

You then hold your hand to your head in demonstration of your extreme anguish.

You give said photographer a dirty, if-looks-could-kill look,

and then suck your thumb and wrinkle your ear while avoiding any eye contact until the photographer repents and brings you the promised candy.

Upon receipt of the candy...

Look at it...

jubilantly stuff it in your mouth...

make a face of pure satisfaction at getting your way...

and then...ONLY THEN...do you make eye contact,

and play nice with the photographer.

The rules are all right there in the handbook.

*Notice--This is my niece.  I would NEVER be so cruel to a clients child....well, ONLY if I knew I could get shots like this.

I'm really tired of trying to come up with an interesting title for these posts...

so I'm not gonna do it for this one.

This is Emily.  Her pictures are finished.  (I guess that could've worked for a title.)

I was going for more vintage-like lighting here but I think I missed the mark.

Better luck next time.

This one was half my idea and half Em's idea.  I think it was a good collaboration of brain activity.

This one was all mine.  A little weird, perhaps a little creepy but I dig it.  You'll need to click on it to view it bigger for the full effect.  She's half human, half brick wall...reminds me of the old movie "When A Stranger Calls Back".  Creep-a-licious.

Here's her slideshow...

I used a song by Jewel called "Dreamer" but I wanted to use this song (click here) because of a previous conversation I had with Emily.  I couldn't get it to time right though so you get the sappy song instead.

Her proofs are here under "Emily".
Enjoy!

More sneaky peekies of "M".

These are the last sneak peek shots from outside.

Then we have maybe 10 sets from in the studio.

Some of these remind of the English countryside.

I love the sun in these images...we had to rush though because it was setting so quickly.

Ooooo.  Look at that sun flare!  And that's the real stuff...not photoshop manufactured.

Pretty glowing sun + pretty blowing hair =Dreaminess

And then in black and white.  Oh.  Me likey.

I can't explain it but I'm in love with this shot.  The relaxed, unposed lean, the curled up leg, the glowing sun, the unmanufactured sun flare and the cute, cute hat.

Mwah!  Magnifique! (kissing fingers like a french chef)

This one ain't bad either.  wink, wink

And here's a teaser from the studio shots.  It's not for everybody but I think it rocks.

Hoping to finish her up, if not tonight then by tomorrow night.

Stay tuned.
